Watching Belle Gibson infuriated me more and more by the second
I was one of many Australians who sat watching the Belle Gibson 60 Minutes interview last weekend, shaking my head in disbelief as she continued to spin her out-of-control lies.
Her cruel profiting from cancer sufferers worldwide who bought her homoeopathy crap is indefensible, but for me it was the callous way she showed no remorse — or at least attempt to offer an apology.
It’s this aspect that quite frankly pissed me off the most. And it did this because I too was duped by someone in a humiliating and remorseless way.
Something I am still in fact trying to process.
The saddest part is that it came from an incredibly close friend who I’ve known, confided in and trusted for the best part of the last 10 years.
This girl however wasn’t the person she made herself out to be.
